Lauren’s roots run deep in the area. She pursued her education in Pomona, attending both undergraduate and veterinary school, before returning to her hometown to establish her professional career. Drawing inspiration from her father, who was a veterinarian and owned his own hospital, Lauren’s passion for veterinary medicine was ignited at a young age. Despite her father’s passing a decade ago, his dedication to the profession continues to fuel Lauren’s own journey, driving her to follow in his footsteps and make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners.

Practice Manager / Veterinary Technician
Samantha is an accomplished Practice Manager and Veterinary Technician at Brookhurst Animal Medical Center. With over a decade of experience in the veterinary field, Samantha brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. She relocated to Orange County four years ago after marrying her wife.
Samantha’s journey in the veterinary industry began in 2013 when she started as a kennel attendant. Over the years, she progressed to become a Technician and eventually transitioned into management. Her passion for animals has been a driving force throughout her career, stemming from her lifelong love for pets and a desire to help them. She has worked in both small animal and corporate practices, always striving to make a positive impact on the lives of animals.

She knew she was in the right profession when she realized how quickly she could learn and adapt to new challenges. Going to work became something she looked forward to, and she has had the pleasure of meeting many amazing people along the way.
Outside of work, Samantha finds joy in spending time with her family. She is a proud stepmother to Noah and Olivia, whose growth brings her immense joy. Samantha shares her home with four beloved cats named Matzah Ball, TBO, Boo, and Frida, as well as a lively goldendoodle puppy named Charlie. Married to her wife Lauren for nearly two years, they share a passion for seeing the hospital thrive and grow.

Office Manager
Crystal Rodriguez is the Office Manager for Brookhurst Animal Medical Center and has more than 10 years of experience in the veterinary field, where she has held various roles. A passionate animal lover, she shares her home with three dogs—Deja, Banksy, and Gidget—along with two Sphynx cats named Mars and Eros, and two tarantulas. Crystal is also a proud mother of a beautiful daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, attending concerts, and embarking on spontaneous adventures.
