Emergency situations involving your pets can be an extremely stressful situation, especially if you don’t know who to turn to. Not to mention when everything settles down, and then you get that expensive emergency animal hospital bill. That’s where Brookhurst Animal Medical Center is different. We are available for animal emergencies in Anaheim, but we don’t charge the high prices like a typical emergency hospital.
The staff’s experience is highlighted by Dr. Lopez’s extensive work in internal medicine and surgery. Dr. Lopez has many years of experience in surgery of soft tissues, bones, eyes and reconstructive surgery. This includes critical emergency care to dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, rats, iguanas, guinea pigs and monkeys. Dr. Lopez is the primary choice as an emergency vet in Anaheim.
How do we know this? Because Dr. Lopez worked at an Emergency Hospital for a number of years.
This procedure requires flushing the wounded area while removing all the pus. A drain is then placed to keep the wound open to prevent any clogging and any further abscess from forming.
Not only will emergency clinics charge high prices for the actual procedure, the hospitalization costs will inflate prices. Not only will the procedure itself cost much more, the extra details is where the price quickly adds up.
At an emergency hospital they charge by shifts, which are 8 hour stays.
8 Hour Stay (1 Shift) at Emergency Hospitals: $85
3 shifts is 24 hours, which is 1 day. A 1 day stay on average is:
1 Day Stay ( 3 Shifts) at Emergency Hospitals: $225
Unlike emergency hospitals, BAMC charges for 1 day stays instead of 8 hour shifts. Our one day shift is much more affordable compared to the hospitals:
1 Day Stay at Brookhurst Animal Medical Center: $50
1 day stay at a hospital is $225. At Brookhurst Animal Medical Center it is only $50. Just another example of how we try to make healthcare for your animals much more affordable.
For those concerned about cost, we waive exam fees for those who choose to move forward with treatment.
For example, if you do an exam with us and we determine we will have to remove a tumor. We will waive the exam fee once you return and complete the surgery.
Once treatment is complete, you will see the exam fee credited into your bill.
